MHS Parent Newsletter and Updates
November 5th, 2024
What a remarkable fall season it has been! Our student-athletes have truly excelled. From the Girls Cross Country team's impressive sixth-place state finish, to the Girls Golf team's second-place state finish, to the Amazon and Mustang Soccer teams' run to the state semifinals, our athletes have played to their maximum potential! Fall season has been historic, with three regional championship teams in a single season. And let's not forget the football team's thrilling playoff victory, extending their season into November, our Marching Mustangs with their superior rating at State, and our Girls Volleyball team poised for a deep run next year, returning almost all of their talent for run in 2025. Of course we also await the results of our Madeira Cheer team who compete this Saturday in the CHL Championships! All the success is attributed to the dedication and hard work of our coaches, staff, and students.
Overall this fall has been overwhelming busy for so many great reasons! At times even moving too fast to keep up with and communicate about in a timely manner, so we want to thank everyone for being patient, flexible, and supportive. We looking forward to the musical next week before heading into a well deserved Thanksgiving break in a few short weeks!

Helping Hands
The Helping Hands program is intended to facilitate Madeira’s ability to provide support for those of us in need through the school year. We understand that hardships can arise unexpectedly, and we know that there are many people in our town that very much want to help. Helping Hands is an effort to make the connections that help our community be a better place.
As we are approach the holiday season, starting with Thanksgiving, we have many families reaching out to us for extra assistance for the holidays. For families who would like to donate, we will be collecting gift cards again this year! We are asking that the value of each gift card not exceed increments of $50. The district-wide gift card collection will begin now and continue through December 9, 2024. Donations can be dropped off to any school building, or sent in with your student in an envelope addressed to a school counselor.
While all gift cards are accepted and appreciated, we are requesting gift cards from the following places:
-
Kroger
-
Target
-
Walmart
-
Amazon
