MHS Parent Newsletter and Updates

May 9th, 2025

We’re almost there—just 11 school days left, and for our seniors, only 4 more days in the building! The energy is high, excitement is building, and the finish line for the 2024–25 school year is finally in sight. While it’s tempting to shift into summer mode, we still have several important items to take care of to ensure a smooth and successful wrap-up.

From final exams and Chromebook collection to awards ceremonies, senior send-offs, and graduation, the next couple of weeks are packed with meaningful moments and key responsibilities. Everyone's attention to detail, flexibility, and teamwork will be important as we guide our students—and each other—across the finish line.

Below, you’ll find information related to:

  • Exams and make-up policies

  • Chromebook collection

  • Senior and underclass events, and more.

Let’s stay locked in, support one another, and make these final days memorable for our students and ourselves. As always, thank you for everything you do—it’s noticed, valued, and deeply appreciated. Let’s finish strong!

Go Mustangs! Go Amazons! Go Madeira!

April Students of the Month

Our students of the month for April were

12 - Molly Grontkowski

Not only has Molly been a standout student in the Madeira senior class, but she surprised us all month long in April with her amazing talents, showcased in the year's musical, Mean Girls! Molly had the lead role of Cady in the musical and continued as a key member of Madeira’s select vocal ensemble! Molly also stood out on this year’s sidelines by doing cheer for the fall and winter athletic seasons, and even managed to join the Madeira girls lacrosse team! Molly plans on pursuing nursing next year at the University of Cincinnati. We couldn’t be more proud of any other student to represent the senior class this month. Congrats, Molly!

11 - Evan Cissell

Evan has excelled both inside and outside of school, scoring a perfect ACT score on his first attempt, as well as, being a leader in many of his classes, including AP calculus, where he works with others and is an excellent problem-solver. Outside of school, Evan is an amazing pitcher and catcher for the varsity baseball team, sporting a batting average over 300, Evan continues to contribute to Madeira's CHL 8-2 conference record this season. Congratulations, Evan, and keep up the great work!

10 - Lucy Radu

Lucy is a strong student, participating in various clubs and extracurricular in addition to academics. She is part of the Madeira girls varsity lacrosse team, and has played a vital role in helping the Zons in their successful season, with wins over competitive teams like Summit, CCD, Roger Bacon, and Waynesville. Congrats Lucy!

9 - Sarah Larranaga

Sarah is super involved in the Madeira theater arts program, and she was the dance captain for this year’s production of Mean Girls. Sarah also plays to be a winter season cheerleader next year. She excels in all of these activities while keeping good grades and taking an honors class. Sarah is kind to everyone around her all the time! She is very deserving of the student of the month title. Good job, Sarah!

End of Year Parent Survey

As we start the busy home stretch to summer, we'd appreciate a few moments of your time to complete our end of year parent survey. We have significantly revamped our survey this year. Using a single link, you will be asked questions for each school you have a student attending. The survey should take you between 5 and 10 minutes to complete. We're striving to be better tomorrow than we are today and your feedback is a vital part of our growth.
